I tried using Vendio / Andale for my online store through ebay.
It did not work out so well.
In general, my eBay store operates quite smoothly, without any cute little tools. But I've always wanted a quicker way to print invoices and packing slips. This was the only function I needed them to perform, and they assured me that they could.
I was originally offered a "Free one month trial." I was a little suspicious when they insisted on taking my credit card information, but their tech support, (based in India, of course,) were unwilling to proceed without it.
I told them repeatedly that the only service I needed was for them to organize and print my invoices. I did not want the "Free Gallery", or any other of the horrible yet free services, widgets, and tools that they offered to add to my listings.
Within minutes of signing up with them, they had put a gallery in EVERY SINGLE LISTING I HAD. My ebay store has somewhere between 6,000 and 12,000 listings. And now, every single one had a cluttered gallery listing, AND was advertising Vendio's services!
I demanded they take them down.
At first they refused.
I threatened to cancel my account with them.
They relented and said they would "Run a script which would remove the gallery from all of my listings." And assured me it would only take 20-30 minutes.
An hour later, I called back, as the listings were not yet cleansed of their graffiti.
They told me the scripts were taking longer to run than expected, but would be finished within the hour.
An hour later, I called back, as the listings were not yet cleansed of their graffiti.
I repeated this process over the course of the day, until they no longer answered the phone, as it was past business hours. (They do not have 24 hour tech support.)
The next day I called them again. They did manage to remove their ads from about 80% of my listings. But 20% of 12,000 listings is still a lot of free advertising space for them. And when I say "free" I actually mean they were charging me to have me advertise for them.
They told me they would try to remove as many as they could, but couldn't deal with the sheer number of listings.
Seriously.
Now, I'm a pretty large seller on eBay, but I'm not the largest! Nowhere near the largest. I can't even imagine how they would handle, or mis-handle a truly large account, of 50,000 listings, 100,000 listings or more.
Then they decided to start charging my credit card.
I canceled my account, and demanded a refund. They told me they would run the refund, but that it might take a week or two for it to be returned.
At this point, I am trying to get eBay to help me. They have someone who is called a 'Third Party Liaison'.
(Vendio is a third party service provider, the liaison acts as a go between for you and that third party)
I'm not actually allowed to talk directly to the liaison; only my eBay account rep is allowed to do that. So I'm not actually able to get anything done.
Vendio has contacted both my account rep, and the liaison to say that they're sorry for the trouble, and that "We have removed all instances of the gallery from the listings," which (because they're not blind) both the liaison and my account rep can tell is a blatant lie.
So that's where we're at right now. I highly recommend NOT using Andale or Vendio.
Oh, I almost forgot - They weren't able to help me print invoices.
